A big "thank you" to Paula Doll -- the bra making class was a huge
success. After flying in from Naples, Florida, Paula spent Friday
afternoon fitting a dozen ladies with issues ranging from slipping
straps to uneven cup size. At the crack of 9:00 on Saturday, she
commenced with the instruction and led eight students through the
construction of their first bra. She then checked the fitting and
adjusted patterns in preparation for the second. Sunday morning, bright
and early, the second bras were cut and assembled into even more perfectly
fitted garments.

Although we hit some bumps along the road, Paula maintained calm
and dignity in the classroom while filling it with fun and laughter.
One would think she's heard (or made) every boob joke possible, but
still we found new material and had a great time.

We appreciate everything Paula has done, from scheduling the fittings
to untangling bobbins, and look forward to spending another weekend
with her as soon as she passes our way again.

"Fitting Solutions"

3-hour session by Leslie Berky Ashcraft cost - $45 class size limited to 6

Saturday, June 9th, 9:30-12:30.

Are you tired of buying pattern after pattern, searching for "the one" that actually
fits? Or, have you stopped sewing for yourself entirely because your garments gap
open at the center front or hang like muumuus? This fitting class has been created
exclusively to help women identify what has changed about their maturing female
forms and how those changes are reflected in the fit of their garments. (For this
session, we will concentrate mainly on the female form from the waist up.) After
this class, you will know what has been causing your fitting disasters and what
pattern alterations are necessary to prevent any more.

Supply list:

Sewing machine, thread, pins, scissors and cloth tape measure.

4 yards of 45" or 60" white muslin fabric, an indelible sharpie marker, a quilter’s

alterations are easier if you're somewhat close. Keep in mind that for purposes of
creating a well-fitting, structured jacket, darting and princess lines are your
