The 2017 Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta is coming up fast!  May 19-21!  This is 
one week earlier in the month of May to avoid the Memorial Day weekend conflict. 
It has also been moved from Thursday-Saturday to Friday-Sunday.  Entries are due 
by March 1, 2017 and require a photo, entry form and entry fee.  The entry form can

Does your new year's resolution include joining the Albuquerque Chapter of the
American Sewing Guild?  If so, January's meeting is a great place to start.
At 6:30pm January 12th, the guild will kick off the new year with another round 
of sewing technique demos.  Experts will present  new and different sewing 
techniques such as bound buttonholes, welt pockets, how to make reversible 
binding, making yoyos, making novelty pockets and more!

Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Asbury Methodist Church,

"Bow Tie Secrets"  Thursday, January 19th, 2-5pm
Limited to 4 students, $28 includes tie template

Stop by January 14th from 10-11am for a *free* preview and get help in selecting
fabric and interfacing.  Ties on the bias need 5/8 yard fabric and woven fusible
interfacing the same size.  Ties on the straight of grain can be made with 
1/3 yard.

"241 Bag" Thursday, February 16th, 2-5pm
Limited to 4 students, $33 includes bag template
Stop by February 11th from 10-11am for a *free* preview and get help in selecting
fabrics.  Bag lining requires 1/2 yard.  Most bag outer shells can be made with
1/2 yard.  Mix and match fabrics for a fun look.
