Hi,

As you may have noticed, the annual Shop & Stroll was blown away by hurricane
force winds. So the Nob Hill Merchants have banded together to do it again!
This Thursday:

There will be sales everywhere. Come on out and see what your favorite shops
have to offer:

We will be open until 9:00pm for the occasion with 25% off select specialty
fabrics.

The Albuquerque Apparel Center is coming along. The first newsletter is
on the way. To subscribe, email info@albuquerqueapparelcenter.com. The

We don't have any classes scheduled at this time, but more are coming in
the new year. We plan to bring back some of the favorites -- "Tips
and Tricks", "Pattern Fitting" and "Bra Making". We are also working on
some new ones, basic to advanced, projects and techniques.

For those of you on Santa's "Nice" list, we do gift certificates.
Keep in mind -- husbands/boyfriends/sons don't always get the hint.
You may just have to say specifically "Nob Hill Gift Certificate" to get
the point across :-).

We also want to let you know about a sewing event coming up this weekend....

Winter Warmth at St. Stephen's will be held Saturday, December 17, from
9:30- 3:30, in Fellowship hall. It is a sewing project to benefit the homeless.
We will be making Polar Fleece(TM) hats, an easy project. No sewing experience
is required (two fully qualified sewing teachers will be on hand the whole time).

St. Stephens United Methodist Church is at 4601 Juan Tabo NE. Just north
of Montgomery.

Child care will be provided until noon for children five and under. If you have
an attentive child over the age of six, he or she is welcome to come sew with us
for a short while. Please, no children running around unattended (it's just too
dangerous an environment for that).

Ann Silva will be providing eight sewing machine (Yippee!), but you are also
welcome to bring your own machine.

We are so very excited about this. We intend to make anywhere from 100 to 200
hats. "Many hands make light work." The last time we did this, we had quite a
large participation, we are hopeful that December 17 will be the same. Please
feel free to invite friends.

Please don't worry about coming to sew your own projects; that's just fine too!
