"Tricks of the Trade" is already full this time around, but there's 
still space in the "Decorative Pillows" class if you're already familiar

We have big plans for Halloween -- come to a costume brainstorming session
on Saturday, October 1st where Michel Buchanan will help design something spectacular.
The following Saturdays she'll be on hand to make those visions a reality.

We are also putting together a bra class.  That's right -- learn to make your
own, perfectly fitting bra from Paula Doll, Certified Instructor of Beverly 
Johnson Bra-making System.  Paula will put together a 2-day class as soon as

SEPTEMBER
=========

"Basic Sewing Class"

This class is designed to teach:

    * anatomy, use and care of your machine
    * terms and tools
    * how to read, mark and cut a pattern
    * how to assemble a basic garment

Sewing machines are not provided.

Limited to 5 students.  This is a individualized lesson to get a beginner started.
We provide an easy-to-make apron pattern or you can bring your own idea or
project.

"Decorative Pillows"
Class size: 3 students minimum and 6 students max

Cost: $40 for 3 hour class ($20 non-refundable deposit required)

Saturday, September 10th, 1:30-4:30

Are you tired of searching for that perfect decorative pillow to coordinate 
with your new bedspread or couch! Practice both basic and advanced sewing 
skills while creating your own unique pillow cover and get exactly what you 
want! (Also know that you can sew more pillows without fear!) Pillows will 
have corded edges and a hidden zipper opening. Students will learn how to 
make their own bias cording, using their sewing machine zipper foot and 
how to insert a hidden zipper opening. Take home your finished pillow creation!

OCTOBER
=========

Do you have an idea for a special costume or fabulous garb, but do not
know how to make that vision a reality?  Come to our brainstorming
session.  Michele Buchanan, costumer to the Albuquerque stars, will
be on hand to help actualize your dreams.  You will come away with a
plan and/or pattern suited to your specific needs.

After we have gone through the hard work of preparing your pattern
and itemizing supplies, come to four follow-up sessions where the
magic happens.  During each of these, we will help you build your
personal fantasy.  Whether you will wow them at MidWinter or watch
your child scare the neighbors on Halloween, this fun and productive
stitch-n-bitch is for you.

Dates: October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.
Time:  2:00pm-4:00pm

Cost:  $10 per session, drop-ins welcome.
